We partner with local industry and community partners to identify skill gaps in the workforce and provide training to help meet industry needs. Our projects have included:

Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing Leadership Series

Through a partnership with the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing, we offer a six-session series of supervisor trainings. All sessions are virtual and free to members to the alliance. Contact us to learn more.

Mount Rogers Regional Partnership Feasibility Study

We're working with the Virginia Tech Center for Economic and Community Engagement, School of Education, and Center for Educational Networks and Impacts to conducting a feasibility study and create an action plan analyzing the gaps between middle school career exploration to classroom-to-career training opportunities in high school, including the implementation of virtual reality curricula in high school career and technical education (CTE) programs. This project encompasses schools in Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Wythe counties and the City of Galax.

Meet Mount Rogers Intern Program

We offer a training session in Carroll County as part of the Mount Rogers Regional Partnership's Meet Mount Rogers Internship Experience. This five-week program is designed to support internship opportunities in the counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Wythe counties and the City of Galax.
